We’ve just wrapped up one of the most unforgettable jet ski events of the year: the MAZU 2025 Festival Pangkor Ride. Organized by Atlantis Marine, an official Sea-Doo Malaysia dealer, this event blended high-speed water adventure with the deep-rooted cultural tradition of honoring Mazu the revered sea goddess.
What Is the Mazu Festival?
The MAZU Festival is an annual cultural and spiritual celebration that pays tribute to Mazu, the sea goddess and guardian of sailors and fishermen. Held in Pangkor Island, this festival unites the local community to give thanks and pray for safe voyages. It’s a vibrant, emotional event rich in history and meaning.
A Sea Doo Spectacle on the Open Sea
This year’s event was an incredible sight:
- 20 Sea Doo jet skis
- Nearly 100 fishing boats
- A shared two hour ocean journey
Prepping for the Big Day: Rehearsal & Coordination
Before the main event, all participants from jet ski riders to boat captains gathered for a full rehearsal. With so many watercraft involved, careful planning and coordination were essential. Therefore, the team emphasized communication, route alignment, and timing to ensure smooth execution. In fact, the rehearsal played a key role in identifying potential challenges and resolving them early on. As a result, the actual ride was well coordinated and stress free
The Ride: Adrenaline, Ocean Power & Unity
Once we hit the open sea, the energy was unmatched. The waves roared, the sun blazed, and the vibe was electric. For two hours, we were part of something much bigger than ourselves.

Traditional banners flew high, chants echoed from boat to boat, and the ocean transformed into a sacred space of celebration and gratitude.
